Scholarship 
At the 4/26/10 club meeting, President Jeff Peltier
announced that
Margaret Monck has won the 2010 NRHARC Scholarship.

Margaret has been home-schooled and will
graduate this spring. She's a ham, KF5DZD and a
member of our club. Her dad is Harry Monck, our club's secretary.
Margaret's GPA is 4.0 (4.24)
with all As and Bs. She's already been accepted at West Texas A&M.
Congratulations Margaret!!

The North Richland Hills ARC believes that
we should support the youth of this area. We will be giving a $500 Scholarship
in 2011 to one of the graduating students of a Birdville School District High
School
Eligibility:
High school seniors currently attending Birdville High School, Haltom High School, Richland High
School, or the
Birdville Center of Technology and Advanced Learning, in the Birdville I.S.D. who will graduate in 2011, and
will be attending college in fall 2012, are eligible.
Purpose: The
Scholarship is designed to benefit the North Richland Hills community, and to carry out the
missions of the Amateur Radio Service: to provide backup communications during emergencies; to
increase the number of trained operators; and to enhance international goodwill.
The Scholarship: One
Scholarship, in the amount of $500.00, may be used for any
part of a student's post high school education including
books, tuition, room and board, etc.
Deadlines: The
application and transcript MUST be postmarked after December 1 and prior to
April 1. There are no
exceptions.
Applications:
Applications are available from counselors at Birdville High School, Haltom High School, Richland
High School, and the
Birdville Center of Technology and Advanced Learning, in the Birdville I.S.D.
There are three High Schools in the Birdville school District
as well as the
Birdville Center of Technology and Advanced Learning.
